That way, you’ll be able to manage the cravings that lead so many people to continue smoking.

Another thing that you should keep in mind is that there are a lot of alternatives to smoking on the market. E-cigs and vapes are two somewhat similar items that fulfill the needs left in the wake of quitting cigs. Using them, you can get a tobacco-flavored liquid that will give you the sensation of smoking a cigarette, but you won’t be doing as much damage to your body and the amount of nicotine can be reduced over time.

Share your your feelings on dates
When you are trying to quit with a partner, you must share your feelings about the situation when you’re on dates. There are going to be times of weakness, and you need to let your date know when they are happening. That way, you can take a quick vape break to keep you from thinking about nothing but having another cigarette. Share personal insights with your partner and they can keep you on track.

Support each other
There are going to be times when you’ll want to go back to smoking. However, you can be honest with your partner and prevent that from happening. You have to support each other in a variety of ways like addressing setbacks, setting goals with each other, and realizing that your first time trying to quit cigs might not be the time that you actually get to quit. It’s a long process, but it’s something that is a fair bit easier when you have someone on your side.

That’s the only way that you will give yourself the proper context needed to see that you are struggling towards a worthy goal. A lot of people see that they need several months of experience with vaping, chewable nicotine products, and other methods to help get them to the finish line, and they’ll quit. Yet, when you and your partner focus on the long-term benefits, it becomes much easier to get the outcomes you desire.

Quitting smoking is going to be difficult. However, having a good partner to act as a support will help. If both of you are trying to quit, you can expect a little relational friction as you both struggle in the early phases. Over time, you’ll realize that there is nothing better than having someone to help you along the process as you both become healthier and adjust your lifestyles to suit your personal needs.
